Welcome
This living, breathing documentation contains everything you need to maintain Modulor design system across products and brands. As components and rules are updated or changed, they’ll be added here. Check back regularly to see what’s new.
What is Modulor?
Modulor is an open-source design system by GR8 Tech. It’s a tool for designing and implementing your very own product—fetching and easy to build.
Basically, Modulor is like a Lego constructor, but with components instead of colorful blocks (also, it won’t hurt if you step on it). You can develop features common for any digital product, like payment page or user account—or enable your creative mode and assemble something new using Modulor components.
Modulor helps:
- Design: to maintain a consistent visual language throughout the product and streamline design work.
- Front-end development: to implement design consistently and easily adapt to changes in the color range.
Components
The Modulor library contains:
- styles
- base components
Styles change the appearance of base components. Base components are the reusable UI elements—the key to consistency.
With Modulor, you can:
- Recolor the whole platform automatically, with almost no involvement of developers
- Easily change colours, fonts, and icons
- Change rounding and sizes
And just like that—you’ve got a unified platform with a unified interface!
